Gazebo thing all fixed!
Submitted by Aaron on Sat, 06/13/2009 - 10:47pm.Not sure what this is actually called, but if you recall a month ago or so someone crashed into this structure and pretty much demolished it. Well, the work seems to be all complete and it looks fantastic.

New Autumn Trace Fountain
Submitted by Aaron on Sat, 06/13/2009 - 10:45pm.I know it has been a few weeks but I wanted to update the status on the Autumn Trace fountain. Short version is that is is completed and looks great! I have lived here since 2001 and the fountain has been broken or falling apart most of that time. This "repair" was more like a "rebuild" and I couldn't be happier with the results.
Great job!

Accident on Gunn Rd.
Submitted by Aaron on Sat, 06/06/2009 - 6:58am.Last night there was an accident on Gunn road involving one of our residents. Rather, it involved one of our resident's home! If anyone has details on when this happened or whether or not the home owners are safe, please mention it in the comment section.
It appears that the car was traveling East down Gunn Rd. when it swerved off the road and plowed through the fence and (seemingly) crashing into the house. The pictures below are a little fuzzy - I just took them this morning with my phone's camera.

Fishing area to open Friday in south Houston
Submitted by Aaron on Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:11am.Middle Georgia anglers will soon have a new place to fish.
The long-awaited Flat Rock Public Fishing Area just south of Perry will open at noon Friday, following the 10 a.m. opening ceremonies. Gov. Sonny Perdue and a host of area officials are expected to attend.
“It’s been a long time coming, but it is time to go fishing,” said Ted Wills, the regional fisheries supervisor for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division.
“We could have opened maybe a year ago as far as the fish are concerned, but we didn’t have enough water to make the boat ramps operational until earlier this year when we had all the rain,” Wills said.
Though named for Flat Rock Creek, the lake isn’t actually on the creek, which is about half a mile to the north. Instead, it is on a nameless wet-weather tributary and must rely on rain runoff from the surrounding area to fill.

Add an avatar to your account
Submitted by Aaron on Thu, 05/21/2009 - 7:23am.See how my posts have a personal image, called and "avatar" to help identify me? Want one too? Well, it is really simple!
On the left hand side, click "My account" and then the "edit" tab. Use the Picture area to upload an image to represent you.
What? You don't have a tiny little picture that is exactly 85x85 pixels and under 30 kb (and are you wondering what the heck that means anyway)? Just do this:
Visit:
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
Follow the directions to shrink the image you want (put 85 in for the size) and then upload it to the site. Images that are perfectly square work best, but any shape will work. Post here if you have any problems...

Cash Only: One Route Out of Debt
Submitted by Aaron on Fri, 02/06/2009 - 8:36pm.There are more than a few ways to deal with credit card debt, as well as other financial crunches. More than a few financial gurus recommend making the switch to a cash-only lifestyle: getting rid of credit cards and using only the cash in your wallet to make purchases. There’s a reason that the cash-only approach is so popular. If you stick to only cash, it’s virtually impossible to add to debt. But there are some drawbacks worth looking at before you jump on the cash-only lifestyle.
